Yale Law Students, Xiaonan “April” Hu and Theo Torres, wrote an Op Ed that was published in Mic on December 30, 2016 that spotlights numerous clemency applicants that meet all the criteria of Clemency Project 2014, who are still waiting to learn whether their suffering will finally be over – or will they face many more years in prison and in some cases a death sentence for those serving LIFE without parole! CAN-DO was honored to provide a few suggestions and elated that several of the applicants we advocate for passed the vigorous vetting process that was required to make the list.
