{"id":10106,"date":"2018-11-30T11:52:48","date_gmt":"2018-11-30T17:52:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.candoclemency.com\/?p=10106"},"modified":"2022-08-19T10:15:25","modified_gmt":"2022-08-19T15:15:25","slug":"amy-ralston-povah-nominated-for-activist-of-the-year-please-vote","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sheryanne.com\/cando-new2\/amy-ralston-povah-nominated-for-activist-of-the-year-please-vote\/","title":{"rendered":"Amy Ralston Povah nominated for Activist of the Year &#8211; Please vote!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>CAN-DO Foundation&#8217;s President Amy Ralston Povah has been nominated for<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSfqZuekGdwe_18AkyvQyTc8rBg8zl8SZMDtH0vqNxRAJGFXdw\/viewform?fbclid=IwAR0WSdkcehlB-UriWCtL4GtVTQzJDjJdt7oDPlFb2Bh8mw0TV0tgfWaqBIE\"> Activist of the Year by the Cannabis Business Awards.<\/a> &nbsp;As a member of the cannabis community, a few of Amy&#8217;s achievements include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Produced, directed and wrote the award winning <a href=\"http:\/\/www.420documentary.com\">420-The Documentary<\/a> film that took top prize and won <a href=\"https:\/\/awarenessfestival.org\/archives\/\">Best Documentary Feature<\/a> at the Santa Monica Awareness awards in 2013<\/li>\n<li>Sent a list of pot prisoners to the White House, as requested by then White House counsel and reported in Washington Examiner<\/li>\n<li>Started a change.org petition urging President Trump to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.change.org\/p\/president-trump-free-federal-marijuana-prisoners\">FREE ALL POT PRISONERS<\/a> posthaste as his next act of mercy.<\/li>\n<li>Has sent numerous petitions of pot prisoners to the White House through our sources.<\/li>\n<li>Spoken on panels at numerous Cannabis Cups and the Emerald Cup<\/li>\n<li>Conducted 5 vigils in front of the White House holding up posters of all the pot prisoners (and others)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Click and vote for <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Amy Cando<\/strong><\/span> listed under &#8220;Activist of the Year&#8221; &nbsp; We would like to urge voters to also vote for Freedom Grow under the category of Hope Awards and Non-Profit of the Year. CAN-DO works hand in hand with our friends Stephanie Landa and Dina Browner who raise funds to put on the books of pot prisoners, which include state and federal. &nbsp;This year, Freedom Grow has been chosen as the beneficiary of The Emerald Cup that will give a % of their proceeds to Freedom Grow which is critically important as this industry continues to prosper. &nbsp;We cannot leave or
