Why commutation:<\/strong>\u00a0Even in prison I have continued to better myself and prepare for a time when I am not incarcerated. I have completed over 50 BOP programs and earned 32 college credits with a 4.0 grade point average.<\/p>\n

Post Release Plans:\u00a0<\/strong>To spend time with and help care for my aging parents. \u00a0My father owns the Lucky Drag City racetrack in Wattsburgh, PA. \u00a0I plan to work with him. \u00a0He really\u00a0needs my help at 76 years old.<\/p>\n

About Maurice Foley\u2019s Case \u2013 De-Facto Life for Pot<\/h2>\n

Despite the fact that he his no history of violence, Moe Foley’s lifelong love affair with Mary Jane has kept him in trouble with the law for most of his life. \u00a0He grew up in Pennsylvania but moved to California in the early 90s. \u00a0Constantly getting in trouble for marijuana, he ran from county probation officers. \u00a0Someone “snitched” on him and he was arrested, but not before\u00a0authorities found 75 pounds of marijuana in his garage. \u00a0During this time Moe had been distributing marijuana, first by sending a pound or two of marijuana back home by mail, but eventually graduating to shipping hundreds of pounds per shipment. While he was in state prison on the probation violation, the feds built a strong case against him. People Foley considered close friends sold him out in order to receive reduced, or in some cases no, prison time. \u00a0But Moe Foley never never turned on anyone. \u00a0His refusal to “cooperate” earned a 27 1\/2 year sentence. \u00a0All of his 7 co-defendants have long been released and have been off probation years ago. \u00a0Yet Moe remains behind bars, hoping for a sentencing reduction or executive clemency.<\/p>\n

\nMichael Connelly is my favorite author. \u00a0I love also to read National Geographic, especially in Spanish, which I am fluent in.<\/p>\n
