I had a single mastectomy performed in FCI Tallahassee.
I come to you with a heavy heart. I pray every day that God will make a way and open up these prison doors so I can go home to my lovely family.

In 2008 I moved to E. Tennessee from Florida to be near my daughter and my grandkids. My mother had required pain medication to cope with her intense pain, and that had a significant impact on me, as I wanted to find a way to help heal her. In addition, my grandmother had retired from the Detox Center in Miami, where she worked for many years. I worked at the Florida Medical Center, specializing in pain management and a detox center and had always felt in my heart this was something I wanted to do. My two brothers are medical doctors and many of our family members were committed to the medical field.

I wanted to start a business venture, and felt strongly about helping people through pain management and detox. I found a location and felt I did my best to hire the appropriate medical professionals, such as medical doctors with proper licenses to dispense drugs such as Suboxen, as well as physician’s assistants and nurses with experience in pain management.

I had no intentions of breaking any laws, state or federal. My office called the Drug Task Force at my request on at least 30 occasions to report suspicious activity by patients, including patients with fake MRI’s. The clinic discharged up to 1000 patients for wrong doing. We carefully screened the patients and if we suspected they were not legitimately in need of pain medication, we discharged them. The clinic actually discharged more patients than were kept.

The clinic routinely participated in the PMP program, which allowed our clinic to check a state database to see if patients were “doctor shopping” or getting prescriptions from other doctors or clinics. We also called our patients in at random for pill counts and drug tests. Each patient had a file with their diagnosis and MRI’s to back up their need for pain medications. Every patient had to have a valid Tennessee drivers license or ID and a copy was kept in their file.

We offered Celebrate Recovery Meetings and my ultimate goal was to build a restoration ranch to help people who needed hope in their life and a place to stay and recovery.

I have never used drugs or gotten into any trouble. My intentions were good and I just had a heart to help people. I may have made some mistakes but not intentionally to break any laws. I pray God’s mercy be on me.

Name: Tamral Guzman #43512-074 D.O.B. 7/5/70 Race: White Marital Status: Single Age 46 Children: 3 Grandchildren : 4 and one on the way 🙂 Where you are from: FL & Tenn.
