\"\"CAN-DO President, Amy Povah was invited to the White House Summit on prison reform and asked to share her hard-earned knowledge about Women’s Issues related to incarceration. \u00a0CAN-DO supports the First Step Act and is working hard to garner support as it goes to the House floor for a vote in the near future. \u00a0 The following provides the itinerary of the White House event that took place on Friday, May 18th.<\/p>\n

Good Afternoon Amy,<\/p>\n

On behalf of Jared Kushner and the White House Office of American Innovation, we want to thank you for confirming your attendance to participate in the Prison Reform Summit at the White House this Friday, May 18th from 8:30 AM \u2013 12:00 PM.<\/p>\n

The summit is divided into three parts. The first two parts will be located in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building. The first session will feature a panel of state leaders called Successes in the States, highlighting the work being done in the states and why states want Congress to act with legislation This will be in Room 350 from 8:30 AM to 9:15 AM.<\/p>\n

The second part will break up the larger group into working sessions. Your session, A Conversation on Women\u2019s Issues\u2019 will be located in the Secretary of War Suite 228 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Please come prepared to discuss data driven programs that have shown proven results, participants include:<\/p>\n
